Research Plan:

Thesis Statement: :  How does differences in messages of body language, verbal responses, and cultural attitudes of ESL students affect the authority in the tutoring session?

I. Introduction
 Importance of study: 
    Brief 1/2 page intro to why this research is important to the quality of tutoring of ESL students.

 Statement of the purpose:
   How does differences in messages of body language, verbal responses, and cultural attitudes affect the authority in the tutoring session?

Research Questions:
 1.  Did differences in body language of an ESL student affect the authority in the tutoring session?
 2.  Did differences in verbal responses of ESL students affect the authority in the tutoring session?
 3.  Did differences in cultural attitudes between the ESL student and the tutor affect the authority in the tutoring session?

II.  Literature review:  3 pages

III Method/ Design:  samples of body langauge, verbal responses and culture attitudes from tutoring observations will be analyized and used to answer the research questions.

-  more observations
-  what form of graphing will be used to analize data
-  begin focusing on what data already collected can be used in the research paper
